Saving links in facebook, to read it later!!!

Mark Zuckerberg has described his social network as a "personalized newspaper" — and for seasoned users with a wide-range of like-minded friends, it's hard not to argue that the articles that pop up in your news feed constitute the most engrossing read in the world, if not exactly the most timely one.
But Zuckerberg also knows you could be reading Facebook more in any given day. What about those times when you're just skimming the app during a spare minute? What if you don't have time to read any of those fascinating links?
If you've ever gone hunting through your feed for an article you saw earlier, you'll welcome the news that Facebook appears to be testing a "save for later" feature. This isn't the first time the company has tested the idea, but it does appear to be more advanced and closer to wide release.
The concept first cropped up on a version of the Facebook app for iPhone and iPad in 2012. In that iteration, you held your finger on a story to save it to a separate list. Now, according to the blog MyTechSkool, which first spotted it, users will see a button with a bookmark icon they can press.
This is what apps such as Instapaper, Pocket and Read It Later have been doing for years, of course. The Apple browser, Safari, added a similar feature called Reading List (available on mobile in iOS6 and on the desktop with Mac OS X Mavericks).
But the Facebook feature differs in significant ways. First of all, you can save more than just articles — in theory, you'll be able to set aside anything from your cousin's holiday snaps to a change in your secret crush's relationship status. Call it a social To Do list.
Secondly, it allows you to do your later reading within Facebook — meaning Zuckerberg gets to monitor and monetize ever more of your reading behavior. What we don't know yet: whether you'll be able to read those articles, links and saved social snippets when you're offline.
We've reached out to Facebook to find out when the company intends to roll this out to all users. In the meantime, let us know in the comments below whether you see the Saved feature yet.

The Launch Code for U.S. Nukes Was 00000000 for 20 Years~~!!!!!!

Steven M. Bellovin, a computer science professor at Columbia, uncovered a startling fact. The launch code for all U.S. Minuteman nuclear missiles for 20 years used the same code: 00000000. Bellovin discovered this after finding a 2004 paper by Dr. Bruce G. Blair, a former Air Force officer who manned Minuteman silos.
The codes — known as Permissive Action Links (PALs) — came to be following the 1963-1964 Cyprus crisis, when NATO countries Turkey and Greece wanted to nuke each other. The PALs were meant to give only the president of the United States the power to use such weapons. Apparently, this security feature was largely symbolic. For two decades, multiple presidents carried around a briefcase with the allegedly constantly changing codes, though it may as well have been filled with shredded newspaper.
The code itself wasn’t very secret, either. According to Karl Smallwood on Today I Found Out, Dr. Blair explained:
“Our launch checklist in fact instructed us, the firing crew, to double-check the locking panel in our underground launch bunker to ensure that no digits other than zero had been inadvertently dialed into the panel.”
All of this basically nullifies the plot to every military thriller film from the ’80s.
But it’s not like our government would ever accidentally nuke us, right? Oh, they already almost did that? Nevermind.

Strange matter: One single particle could destroy the whole world!!

This is not an exaggeration. One particle, just one tiny, little particle could destroy the earth as we know it.

But how?! There isn’t anything in the universe that’s so explosive that just one particle could destroy a planet!

Who said anything about explosions? Strange matter doesn’t just push atoms away, it converts everything into more of itself, which in turn converts everything IT touches into more of itself, which… you get the drift.

What the hell is this thing even made of? You know atoms? They’re made of protons, neutrons and electrons which are, in turn, made of quarks. Quarks are so infinitesimally small, that it’s impossible to see them. Strange matter is all these quarks pressurized until they’re ridiculously dense. Like really. So dense that they can’t exist as atoms anymore, which is why they broke down into quarks. A teaspoon full of the stuff would weigh around 3 billion metric tons, minimum.

Not that you can hold this stuff in a teaspoon, of course… this matter breaks any matter it touches into its constituent quarks, and absorbs them. This continues until there’s no more matter left to convert.
There’s a chance that there IS not strange matter in the universe, because the strange matter disappears almost instantly. On the other hand, scientists have discovered at least two possible ‘quark stars’ which they think might be composed entirely out of strange matter.

If we assume that every particle of strange matter touches one atom of non-strange matter, the entire earth would be converted into strange matter in about… 3 minutes.

Maybe the reaction’s started on the other side of the globe. Is this really how you imagined spending the last minutes of your life?

Sussanne finally speaks!!!

Sussanne, Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan's wife of 13 years, Saturday said their separation is based on their "individual choices". But, they will continue to care for each other and for their two sons.
We've made our own choices: Sussanne on split with Hrithik
"We are two individuals who respect and care for each other and have made our own individual choices," Sussanne said in a statement on Saturday.

The duo was dating for four years before they tied the knot Dec 20, 2000 post the success of Hrithik's debut film "Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai". They have two sons - Hrehaan and Hridhaan.

"We are parents to two wonderful kids and our responsibility remains to protect and take care of them. Nothing can change that," said Sussanne, who is the daughter of veteran actor Sanjay Khan.

Like Hrithik, Sussanne said she would "appreciate if we are given our privacy in such a time".

"Thank you for your warmth and concern for both of us and the family," she said.

The news of their split has come just a few days before their 13th marriage anniversary, and in the midst of a medical treatment that Hrithik is undergoing at an undisclosed location abroad.

The "Krrish" star has been suffering bouts of headache. In July this year, he had undergone a brain surgery for removal of a clot at the Hinduja Hospital.

Some quarters believe, the split was caused due to Hrithik's infidelity, while some believe it was a mutual decision. However, we can't help that hope this couple figures their way out of this.

A pill that boosts intelligence, focus, and lets you go without sleep for days

It’s 4 AM and you have a report to finish. Whether you’re a student who has to submit it to a strict professor, or a worker who has to submit it to a strict manager, you know that it can’t be postponed, and you should finish it tonight. No more sleep for you.

But your body doesn’t listen. It never does. You feel sleep wash over you, dulling your senses. You shake your head, grind yourself a cup of coffee and get back to work.

This may sound like a great idea, but it really isn’t. For one thing, caffeine is a drug. Next, it doesn’t get rid of your tiredness, it just makes you more alert. It’s like you want to close your eyes, but you can’t do it because you’re all jittery. You shamble through the rest of the job, and barely make it through.

The scenario isn’t exactly ideal, but what can one do?

Try Modafinil (http://www.modafinil.com/)

It doesn’t cause the jitteriness, and you simply do not get tired. You can recall numbers better, increase focus, and boost your problem solving skills in general.

Moreover, people who take this don’t have to go sleep for the next 2 days. This doesn’t rack up a sleep debt, after 2 days of being awake, you just go to sleep for 8 hours like nothing happened. The best part? This pill doesn’t enforce wakefulness, so even after you’ve taken it, if you’re done with what you wanted to do and want to get some sleep, just go to your bed and lie down.

So far, it doesn’t even have any side effects, so there’s really no downside to this thing.

Except people would want to use it all the time, I suppose.

Bar code identification!! (AWARENESS)

~~HOW TO READ BAR CODES…!(everyone must know)~~

ALWAYS READ THE LABELS ON THE FOODS YOU BUY–NO MATTER WHAT THE FRONT OF THE BOX OR PACKAGE SAYS, TURN IT OVER AND

READ THE BACK—CAREFULLY!
With all the food and pet products now coming from China, it is best to make sure you read label at the supermarket and especially when buying food products. Many products no longer show where they were made, only give where the distributor is located. The whole world is concerned about China-made “black-hearted goods”.

Can you differentiate which one is made in Taiwan or China ? The world is also concerned about GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) foods; steroid fed animals (ex: 45 days old
broiler chicken). It is important to read the bar code to track its origin.

bHow to read Bar Codes….interesting ! If the first 3 digits of the bar code are 690, 691 or 692, theproduct is MADE IN
CHINA. 471 is Made in Taiwan .

If the first 3 digits of the barcode are 00-09 then it’s made or sourced in USA. This is our right to know, but the government and related departments never educate the public, therefore we have to RESCUE ourselves. Nowadays, Chinese businessmen know that consumers do not prefer products “MADE IN CHINA”, so they don’t show from which country it is
made.

However, you may now refer to the barcode – remember if the first 3 digits are:

890……MADE IN INDIA
690, 691, 692 … then it is MADE IN CHINA
00 – 09 … USA and CANADA
30 – 37 … FRANCE
40 – 44 … GERMANY
471 …….. Taiwan
955.........Malaysia
49 ………. JAPAN
50 ………. UK

Lets identify the pic Baar code

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne divorced!!!

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne have been divorced. "Sussanne has decided to separate from me and end our 17-year relationship. This is a very trying time for the entire family," Mr Roshan said in a statement released this evening. He requested the media to respect his privacy.

"I do not wish this news to disempower my fans and the people about the institution of marriage in any way. I am a firm believer in this institution and respect and honour it at the highest level.

I thank my fans for all the concern and prayers for my health. My treatment is going fine. I should be able to resume my life in every way very soon." says Hrithik.

Mr Roshan underwent brain surgery earlier this year due to recurring headaches. He is reportedly undergoing more check-ups in the US and is expected to return to India on December 18.

The news comes just days ahead of their 13th marriage anniversary. Mr Roshan married Sussanne, the daughter of Bollywood actor Sanjay Khan, on December 20, 2000. They have two young sons.
