Harry Potter and Temple Run to work together!!

Two blockbusters of their own kind are here to tag to one another:

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. is currently negotiating bringing mobile hit Temple Run to the big screen, with Harry Potter and Gravity producer David Heyman also involved.

Temple Run is a 2011 mobile game developed and published by Imangi Studios that spawned a sequel earlier this year and spinoffs involving characters from Disney/Pixar's Brave and Disney's Oz the Great and Powerful, as well as numerous imitators. Both the original game and its sequel have become mammoth best-sellers.

Given the premise of Temple Run, which is "run away from monkeys", you'd think the plot might be a little thin; evidently the film would be about an explorer who nicks something from an ancient temple and is then pursued by demons. The studio is now looking for a writer.

Heyman has a longstanding relationship with the studio, having produced the eight Potter films as well as the studio's box-office hit and awards-season contender Gravity. (The movie has pulled in $475 million worldwide so far.) Sources say Heyman also is in talks with Warners to produce J.K. Rowling's next franchise for the studio, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
