Foot of a dino!!

This one is doing the rounds again, and TECHNICALLY it's correct.

This is indeed the foot of a megalapteryx - better known as a moa. Moas were huge flightless birds that went extinct approximately 600 years ago.

As I'm sure you're aware, all birds are descended from dinosaurs. Evolutionarily speaking, birds in fact ARE dinosaurs. 

So yes, if you're going to be technical about it, this is a beautifully preserved dinosaur foot. But please don't go thinking this is 65 million years old - it's not.
